Award for the Igloo rapid diagnostic device as a groundbreaking digital innovation in healthcare
Hamburg, October 16, 2025 – goodscare’s gc diagnostics business unit has been honored with the prestigious Health-i Award 2025, presented by Techniker Krankenkasse and Handelsblatt. The award went to Igloo, a next-generation digital point-of-care diagnostic device that evaluates rapid medical tests with laboratory quality within minutes. The innovation is considered a milestone for more precise, faster, and everyday healthcare.

gc diagnostics has brought the IVDR-certified Igloo to market maturity in collaboration with its technology joint venture partner and device developer Dx365. Igloo reliably analyzes over 90% of commercially available rapid tests within minutes – digitally, in compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR), and regardless of location. Igloo thus closes the gap between simple point-of-care application and high-quality laboratory evaluation. Areas of application include pharmacies, medical practices, companies, and health centers.

gc diagnostics is already working intensively on spreading Igloo in the healthcare market: under the motto “Test. Know. Act.”, the company is launching a Germany-wide initiative for the prevention pharmacy of the future together with health expert Nina Ruge.
The aim of the campaign is to accompany pharmacies on their way to becoming digital health hubs for the general population – as places where diagnostics, prevention, and advice can be accessed flexibly and from a single source. The Igloo is at the heart of such a modern prevention offering and enables a new culture of self-determined healthcare.
